Part 1:
In my week 1, I used the current organization that I work at. There are several things that this assignment will seek to address. The first one is to identify some of the major areas of increase or decrease as far as business is concerned. The paper shall also make sure that it has identified some of the trends that occur in revenue. Marketing of the products is also another important thing that the company needs to make sure that it is working to its advantage. The last thing the paper shall seek to address is how it can be able to build a marketing goal as well as strategy.
The company I work for is a service company and there are very many trends that happen in the industry. This means that there is a need for the company to ensure that it keeps up with the trends. Some of the areas that the company can improve on include making sure that there is added value in the services that it offers to its customers. The company also needs to make the services personalized so that that can be able to address individual issues. The benefit of this means that everyone feels part of the company and are satisfied that their needs have been fully addressed. Once this has been achieved, there will be more customers attracted to the company and those that are members already can be able retained easily and shielded from unnecessary competition. The end result is that the company is able to make an increase in terms of revenue generated.
The trend that is evident in terms of revenue is the fact that the company revenues are on the decreasing trend. This is as a result of rise in new companies that are causing a big challenge because of its competitive nature. These companies have better equipment and technology that are becoming so hard to match. There is also competition from big brands that are using their vast asset base to their advantage. This is a big challenge especially keeping in mind that our company is not a big company as such.
For the company to keep up with the competition, it will need to have a very good marketing strategy. This can be achieved by bring in ideas that other companies are yet to know about. The first thing is to make sure that the company has a clear definition of the vision and mission. Having a good direction is the firsts step towards making sure that it is able to achieve the desired goals. The other thing to do is to use the current methods of marketing. These methods can include the use of both the technology and the traditional means of advertising and marketing. Benefits of combining both methods are the fact that both target groups can be targeted conclusively and money can be saved.
There is no doubt that having a marketing goal is beneficial to the ultimate health of the company. Employees need to know the direction that they are working towards. It is also important that the company has targets that it seeks to meet and timelines. This means that the progress of the company can easily be tracked and measures taken that can also it to achieve its ultimate goals.
