There are cases of scams happening day in and out. It is therefore important to make sure that the activities we do online remain safeguarded. There are laws and policies that have been put in place by many companies but the ball lies in the court of the user. Many organizations have also put in place safety measures. There are guidelines on how to use social media and other technology tools at the workplace but what happens outside the workplace is the responsibility of the people using the technology.

These applications collect a lot of information from users something that can be dangerous if compromised. During hiring, there are companies that happen to conduct a background check on the online activities of their prospective employees.
