Primary Internal and External Organization Considerations for the Development of a Strategic Plan
The main external and internal considerations of an organization when coming up with a strategic plan include; operating environment, industry environment and the remote environment. Talking about the operating environment, the firm has to consider factors like laborers, suppliers, competitors and other things which relate to the operating aspect of the company. With industry environment, the company has to be aware of competitive rivalry, entry barriers and supplier-buyer power. Lastly the remote environment will include factors like economic, social, political, technological and ecological factors that the company has to consider. According to my preference, I regard the remote environment as the most essential consideration. This is because of it determines the manner in which the organization is going to operate. It also identifies what the economy needs at a specific time. The strategic plan can be built basing on the variety of available opportunities, constraints and threats with regard to the remote environment.
